Solstad Offshore Wins IMCA Award

We are thrilled to announce that we have won the IMCA Awards 2024 in the category of Greenhouse Gas Project of the Year!

The award was given for our Solstad Green Operations® initiative, established in 2010 to enhance energy efficiency across our fleet by focusing on daily operational measures.

Since then, we have saved over one million tonnes of CO2, and the average fuel consumption and emissions per vessel have been reduced by more than 20%.

IMCA stated: “The judges thought the initiative showcased exemplary efforts in reducing greenhouse gas emissions through its pioneering campaign and were impressed by fuel savings equivalent to a 19,000-ton CO2 reduction this year alone”.

Lee Billigham, Director of Strategy & Energy Transition at IMCA, said: “By fostering a culture of energy efficiency, embracing advanced fuel monitoring technology, and celebrating proactive crew efforts, Solstad Offshore exemplifies leadership in sustainability and decarbonisation. Their technological advancements have incorporated continuous fuel monitoring via supervisory software, streamlining and refining SGO reporting. Their commitment to daily reporting in recent years demonstrate the campaign’s continuous evolution and dedication to sustainability, and we felt they were the winners in their category.
